Sixteen works of short fiction are included in this book, several of which won awards such as the Hackney Literary Award in the Birmingham, Alabama Festival of the Arts in 1975. Many of the stories utilize the author's interest in fantasy and science fiction, while others contain a Western theme, undoubtedly based on the author's childhood experiences on a ranch in eastern Washington. Stories such as "Uncle Jass," "Moon Madness," and "The Pioneer Picnic at Crab Creek," are included. Bruce Weild, Glen Gilchrist, and the author provided illustrations. |
