Interlibrary loan services are available to current students, faculty and staff at Eastern Oregon University.

Article Requests

Journals, newspapers, magazines, etc. Delivery time is usually about 4 days, but always allow as much time as possible.

  1. Determine if the journal or periodical is available at EOU by searching the Sage Catalog.
  2. For the fastest, most accurate request processing of articles published since 1990, use the ILL feature in Article First. How-to Example
  3. An ILL request feature is also found in Medline, ERIC, and Sociological Abstracts. Use these ILL forms if searching in these databases.
  4. For items not found through the databases above, use the library's online article request form.

Book Requests

Books, dissertations, documents, etc. Delivery time via Summit: 3-4 days; via WorldCat: 7-10 days. But always allow as much time as possible!

  1. Always check Sage and Summit. Many items can be requested directly from Summit. [Note: Summit requesting is not available to town patrons; please submit an ILL request]
  2. If not listed in Sage or Summit, use the ILL feature in World Cat for the fastest, most accurate request processing. How-to Example
  3. For items not found using the steps above, use the library's online book request form, or contact the Library Reference Desk (541)962-3605.

Video/DVD Requests

Use the directions for Books above. It should be noted that video requests are seldom filled. Few libraries share them through Interlibrary Loan.
