If you are an off-campus student and live outside of Union County, materials may be mailed to you at your request. Otherwise, you may pick up materials at the circulation desk in Pierce Library. If you want a book that is available at Eastern's Library, please use the "Request" button on the catalog search pages to have an item mailed to you.

  2. Interlibrary Loan Agreement:
    • I understand that I will only be notified by email when material arrives, but I can also inquire at the Circulation Desk about the status of my request.
    • I will immediately notify the Interlibrary Loan Office should I decide I do not need this item.
    • I understand the safety of all materials I check out is my responsibility.
    • I agree to any limitations on use set by the lending library, including the due date.
    • I understand that some requests for rare material may incur fees and I will be notified before incurring any fees.
  3. Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions

    The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or other reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright.
