Pierce Library has study rooms (Rooms 204, 205, 211, 213-17), all of which are available for academic use by EOU students, faculty and staff only, on a first come, first served basis.
EOU faculty may reserve Room 114 on a non-recurring basis for official academic activities and meetings, providing that it is not required for Pierce Library use. It is understood that priority will always be given to Pierce Library functions and activities in reserving Room 114.
The Reference/Reading Room may be used for Pierce Library-sponsored events at the discretion of the Library Director, but is not available for use by other campus entities except at the discretion of the Library Director.
Under no circumstances may any space or facilities of Pierce Library be used for campus or non-campus events or activities which include the following: advertising; commercial/financial reimbursement; support or opposition to any political candidate or religious belief or organization.
Occasionally the library receives requests from community groups and organizations to reserve the Reading/Reference Room or Room 114 for specific activities. Unfortunately, due to space shortages, community (i.e., non-EOU) requests cannot be accommodated. Community groups wishing to arrange group activities on campus should contact the EOU Scheduling Office (962-3575) for information about available meeting spaces and rental fees. Alternately, groups are encouraged to inquire about meeting spaces at their local public library.
